Weekend Rewind

This weekend was slow and relaxing around here. Luckily, we didn't get nearly as much rain as expected! Saturday was mostly spent watching Netflix and catching up on sleep. I popped into a local nail salon for a new gel manicure and went with Ro-MAN-ce on the Moon by OPI. Obsessed. It's the perfect deep red shade for fall (tip:get three coats if you get it, the third coat really brings out the dark, rich red color). You can see it in the some of the pictures throughout this post. Alex even came with me and got his first pedicure. Although he went into the salon skeptical, he ended up LOVING it. It was so funny too, because he was embarrassed at first, but we went over his friend's house later Saturday night and it turns out 3 of the 5 men there have gotten pedicures before! Has your guy ever gotten one?

On Sunday I slept in (maybe a little too late) and then snapped some outfit pictures with Alex, look out for those later this week! The outfit we shot is featuring the new J.Crew faux leather skirt I scooped up last month. It's literally so perfect, I highly recommend for everyone to get one for the fall!

Then I headed down to Delaware to have brunch with my friend from Tulane, Amy, at the cutest little place, Pizza by Elizabeths (and to do a little retail therapy). I picked up a beautiful faux-shearling and suede vest from Francesca's. I'm so excited to wear it, look for that in upcoming outfit photos as well! We then headed to Sephora to swatch all the things. I probably tried every single fall lip color out there and swatched all the eye shadow palettes.

Spinach and artichoke dip with breadsticks. Gimme all the carbs.

P.S. I scooped up this Laura Mercier foundation primer at Sephora after seeing so many glowing reviews! I'm excited to try it and I'll let you all know what I think!
