Wow, what a week! First off, it's finally October! I feel like September just flew by and now Fall is here in full force. It's been a bit of a dreary week around here and it's supposed to rain all weekend. I'm actively tracking Hurricane Joaquin and hoping that it doesn't make landfall here in the U.S. Fingers crossed! Since we're expecting a rainy weekend I'm planning on hanging out at home most of the weekend, maybe getting breakfast at one of my favorite spots in Philly and binging on Netflix. The perfect rainy fall weekend. I might even fire up the slow cooker on Sunday, so if you have any awesome slow cooker recipes I'd love to see them!
Anyways, here's some things I found interesting around the internet this week:
// Bleachers announced a free album download - Nothing I like better than free music! Especially when it's good! Bleachers announced their entire new album would be available to download free! I downloaded my copy but haven't listened yet, I plan on listening this weekend! If you're not familiar with the band, you probably know this song
// Alex and I watched this Panda documentary on Netflix this week. I mean, Pandas. What more information do you need? Also, it's not even a long documentary so it's a very easy quick watch!
// When I was home last weekend I made Grace's spiked hot cider recipe. Everyone loved it and it was super simple to make! The perfect fall cocktail for a cool night.
// How many of these Halloween movies have you seen? - I got 14 out of 48. Which means I have some work to do this October! How many have you seen?
// I love Aveda hair products, so when I heard they were coming out with a dry shampoo I preordered it. Naturally. I'll let you all know how it is when it comes in the mail!
// Remember in this post how I was in the market for a new laptop sleeve? Well at the suggestion of my friend, I decided on this one (monogrammed of course) and I cannot wait for it to arrive!
// But First, let me take a selfie - when my friend sent this video to me I was dying laughing. I admit I'm on my phone a little too much...let this serve as a reminder to look up from the screen sometimes!
// Its hard not to like Drew Brees after living in New Orleans for 5 years. When my friend sent me this video I choked up. Get the tissues out before watching!
// In blogland this week I especially enjoyed these posts: Jessica's interview with jewelry maker Tarin Thomas, Anna's great fall look, Ally's must haves for your work bag, Julia's perfect New England Fall look, and Fran's monthly budget link-up post
// Coachella Organizers have announced talks to bring a similar festival to the East Coast, Coachella is on my bucket list and this would be amazing for us East Coasters who can't necessarily swing a trip to Cali to go. (Also I can get some more use out of my impulse purchased flower crown for Made in America)
