It's October! You know what that means! Apple picking, pumpkin picking, copious PSLs, haunted houses, changing leaves, etc. etc. It also means at the end of the month you're going to be panicking over what you should be this Halloween! Well I will at least. Fear not, I put together three easy Halloween outfits where you will probably already own a majority of the components.
She's a cool assassin in Kill Bill. But this is also a fairly simple costume. All you need is a plaid mini-skirt, knee high socks, white sneakers, and a blazer. You can get a plastic ball and chain prop for a few dollars online or at any local Halloween costume store. You'll be wearing comfortable shoes all night, and if you do need to buy any of the pieces you'll probably be able to re-purpose them later (except maybe not that ball and chain). Also Rory Gilmore dressed up like her, so you probably should too.
Red Lipstick (color is Relentlessly Red) / Black Flats
Another Tarantino character. Mia Wallace is an icon and extremely recognizable. I actually dressed up as this senior year of college and got a ton of compliments! I was also such a comfortable outfit for a night out! You probably own everything needed for this outfit already, except maybe the black bob hair. No worries, you can get a wig for about $10 online or pretty much at any Halloween store. I got one from Walmart for $7 I believe and it worked fine for the costume.
The Flashdance costume is a classic. Not only is it cute and comfortable but it's so iconic everyone will recognize it immediately. You probably already have some variations of these items in your closet, and getting the color of the leg warmers, pumps, and headband exact isn't 100% necessary. Also it will give you a great excuse to break out your 80's dance moves.
As for my costume this year, I'm still brainstorming. I was in Peru last year for the holiday and ended up buying a child's size bunny ears headband (holy headache) when I found out they celebrated Halloween there too. They actually go crazy for it! It was awesome! My outfit was not exactly a creative costume, but in a pinch, animal ears and a cute dress always does the trick.
Any ideas of what you'll be this year?
These are so you and I love it!

DeleteGreat ideas! I might look into the Gogo Yubari look, seems pretty easy to put together. Knowing me, I will wait until the very last minute though, haha.

I don't think I could pull Gogo off or I'd go as her 100%, I'm thinking of being Uma Thurman's character though and wearing the yellow jumpsuit :)
